A two-track postcard from opposite ends of the year, Casual Crypt’s Not Forever b/w Minor Harm drifts between heat-haze shimmer and cold-season introspection. The A-side, lifted from the forthcoming second album Monoculture, sways in a lo-fi mirage with drum machines ticking like sun-faded clocks, Korg Poly-800 chords washing in slow arcs, Moog and ARP tones curling into tape-warped vapor. It is a brief, intoxicating dose of summer, worn at the edges by memory. The flip side, Minor Harm, written as the skies dimmed, trades the warm blur for autumn’s overcast calm with textures gathering in soft shadows. Originally pressed in an edition of 150 black vinyl, this run arrives on hand-numbered clear pink with just 100 copies, a quiet inversion of the original and perhaps a reminder that every season eventually turns.
